SatCon announces Starlink installations for the Hawker 800XP — making next-generation inflight Wi-Fi accessible to more aircraft owners than ever before.

SatCon, a leader in satellite-powered aviation installation connectivity, has officially launched Starlink Wi-Fi installation capability for the Hawker 800XP, marking a major milestone for midsize jet owners worldwide.

Until now, Starlink’s high-throughput inflight internet was largely reserved for the ultra-long-range elite — aircraft like the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, where installation costs often exceed $250,000. SatCon is rewriting that story.

With SatCon’s new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) program, Hawker 800XP owners can now access Starlink’s unparalleled connection for just $75,000 — a fraction of the cost of legacy systems such as Gogo Avance L5, which still average well over $100,000 for slower, region-limited performance.

The Future of Inflight Connectivity — For Every Aircraft Tier

For the first time, midsize aircraft can enjoy the same low-latency, high-speed connection available on $70M flagship jets. Passengers can stream, video conference, or operate cloud-based tools seamlessly at 40,000 feet — with data speeds of up to 100 Mbps and latency as low as 70 milliseconds.

“Starlink represents the future of aviation connectivity — and SatCon’s mission is to make that future accessible for every operator, not just the ultra-elite,” said the SatCon installation team.

Expanding the Network — Next in Line for STCs

Following the Hawker 800XP launch, SatCon has confirmed that it’s actively developing new STCs for other midsize cabin aircraft, extending Starlink availability across the light-to-midsize spectrum of business jets.

This milestone brings the aviation industry one step closer to a unified era of global, high-speed inflight communication — where every cabin, regardless of size, can remain connected, productive, and entertained.
